Milwaukee Metal Fest returns! Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed is the reason it has and fu¢k was this an amazing festival. While we never attended one of the original festivals, and we only knew a handful of the bands going into this year, Milwaukee Metal Fest was a show we have been looking forward to since the return was announced. We got to see The Rave as we have never seen it before with performances by Lamb of God, Machine (Fu¢king) Head, Vended, Demonscar, Dead by Wednesday, The Halo Effect, Gatecreeper and so so so many more. Also, this list of bands were all on the last day of a three day festival! It was definitely the best Memorial Day weekend we have had in recent memory and we can't wait to see what next year's MKE Metal Fest has in store.

In September of 2022 we went to see a little known band, Ghost. Opening for them was another little known band, but just as amazing, Spiritbox. Instantly we fell in love. Then a little while later Spiritbox announced their own headlining show, and lucky for us they were making a stop in Chicago. Well, the first show apparently sold out so fast they just had to add a second night. While we only made it to night one it was definitely a fun time. Joining Spiritbox this time we were introduced to After the Burial and Intervals. Both amazing bands that we can't wait to see again.

We return once again to Concord to see one of Karen’s favorite bands, Wage Ware. Joining this killer band at this outstanding venue we have Nothing, Nowhere. and Spite. While Wage War is not one of Brian’s favorite bands, this was one of the best shows of the year, so far. All three of the bands put on a hell of a show feeding off of the crowd energy all night.

Time to return to Milwaukee for the second Hog Fest. So far we have been able to make it to the first two Hog Fests hosted by 102.9 The Hog at the Fiserv Forum. Year two did not disappoint, and this is now one show we look forward to having as main staple of our concert calendar. While Falling In Reverse unfortunately had to bow out of this show, we were able to see an emotional set from Disturbed, Beartooth, and Dorothy.

This was a weekend of firsts for us. It was our first time in St. Paul and/or Minneapolis. We had our first Juicy Lucy. It was the first time seeing a show with our good friends, Angie and Josh. And of course, our first time seeing Shinedown… somehow. Although it was not our first time seeing Three Days Grace, it was our first time seeing the other opener From Ashes to New. Join us as we look back at this weekend of many first. Did we forget to say we also got to sleep in the bed of a Nun for the first time too?!

Doom metal in a small club? Yes please! In this episode we talk about our second trip to Reggies Rock Club to see Khemmis. Joining them on their Deceiver North American MMXXII Tour we got Conjurer, all the way from across the pond, and their brothers from Calgary, Wake. Also, a very special surprise to us when we showed up at the venue, we got a fourth band, Mother of Graves.

In 2016 at Chicago Open Air we saw a lot of bands for the very first time. Pop Evil was among them. Since then we have not listened to much of their music. However, it’s almost a guarantee we will hear them on the radio. We do, however, remember seeing them at Open Air and liking their set. So when they announced they were going to be back in Chicago for their Skeletons tour we definitely wanted to check them out. Joining them at the Concord we also got to see The Word Alive and Avoid.

Description: Encore! This is our first bonus episode. In this show we talk about our time seeing three amazing Chicagoland bands; The Feral Ghosts, Blackcat Manor, and The Hellcatz at Soundgrowler. These amazing people put on a benefit show for Feed The Beasts, a volunteer organization taking care of a cat (Beasts) colony. They work to socialize and provide the best care possible for the little beasts. It was a fantastic concert put on by wonderful people for a great cause.

When you see a live show the setlist will have some songs you can almost guarantee you are going to hear. When the band is on tour to promote a new album, you can expect to hear several of the new songs too. With this in mind we decided to try and think about what the setlist for Metallica 72 Seasons tour might look like. We can't wait to see Metallica live later in the year to see just how right we are. Or, honestly, how wrong we were.
